The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page

“Travel, see the world, discover breath-taking places and have life-changing experiences” This is on the bucket list of many young people or even on the things-to-do-before-turning-30-list. But few wake up pack their bags and decide to finally go on adventure. Nevertheless, travelling while young is a life-changing experience that every young person should have!

The skeptical ones will give me thousands reasons to not cross the borders such as: it is so expensive to travel, you never know what might happen, it is dangerous to go to foreign country alone, I might caught terrible diseases and many more. But the truth is that all those reasons are bullshit! First of all, living in a foreign country far from home is the perfect way to practice your problem solving skills and be as autonomous and independent as never before. You will discover hidden skills you would perhaps never have developed in your hometown.

Travels are actually the only source of happiness one can buy! Besides, nowadays travelling isn’t that expensive anymore! There are numerous formula to travel ecologically and wallet-friendly.

One way to travel, make new friends and have an impact on the communities you interact with, is by doing volunteering work. By volunteering, one can get to know a country intimately, live like the locals and have an impact on the local community.

This unique value of travelling has been recognized by multiple youth organizations that aim to encourage and sustain youth mobility. AIESEC is a leader organization with over 65 years of exchange experience. AIESEC aims to provide leadership experience to as many young people as possible over the whole globe via its international exchange programs.

So if you are (again) on Facebook liking (or hating on) your friends posts about their adventurous travels and the life-changing experiences they are having, well, you can only blame yourself!

Get out of your comfort zone and discover the world!
