Happens in Brussels
- The biggest conference dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe, sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders will focus on sustainable energy issues, and debate new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas.
- In the third and final session, participants will turn ideas from the previous panels into concrete recommendations, and develop a catalogue of preferred actions towards the development of desirable virtual worlds, which will feed into a European Commission initiative on the topic.
- Dedicated to Youth Democracy Dialogues, the purpose of this event is to raise awareness about democratic values with the aim to help young people understand what European values stand for and what active citizenship means in a participatory democracy.
- The ECOFIN Council meets every month and brings together economic and financial ministers from all EU member countries. It is responsible for economic policy, taxation issues and the regulation of financial services.
- In plenary sittings, the 705 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) meet in the Chambers in Strasbourg or Brussels to vote on European laws and take position on issues through debates. MEPs sit in political groups. Those who do not belong to a group sit as non-attached Members.
