EntEx Organises 5 Summer Schools for Young Entrepreneurs across Europe in June/July 2014

May 23, 2014 News Room

JADElogoEntEx, the Entrepreneurship Experience Programme, will run five summer schools in June and July 2014 in London, Barcelona, Bucharest, Berlin and Amsterdam, building on an experienced concept already tested in Brussels. Each event will gather 100 participants.

EntEx is designed by young people for young people with a strong interest in entrepreneurship.  “Participants might not all eventually become entrepreneurs but, in today’s job market, entrepreneurial skills are increasingly valuable to employers as well” says Alice Vandekerkhove, 24, this year’s EntEx programme manager.“We want to promote the practice of responsible entrepreneurship amongst young people and make our contribution to tackle youth unemployment in Europe”

“EntEx is different from other entrepreneurship training programmes I’ve seen” said Steve Price, director of the EIIL, a Knowledge Partner of EntEx. “The team didn’t want to teach hard techniques such as ‘how to prepare a business plan’, or ‘how to pitch to an investor’ – there are plenty of competition-based, investor-driven programmes like these around. Instead there will be no lectures, the training will be based on a practical, interactive approach; participants will discover real insights into what characteristics make a successful entrepreneur, and how they can develop these. Essentially, how entrepreneurs get things done.”

EntEx’s  young dedicated team is working to make this experience as exciting and memorable as possible for the participants they are hosting. Each of them knows what young entrepreneurs are looking for. Alex Polunin, a final year student of English at University College of London and project manager for London says: “I participated in this programme in Brussels last year and am really happy to be able to organise it here, in London. I know what the participants will be looking for and am doing my best to make it happen”.

For more details and to register for the programme go to http://www.ent-ex.eu.  Or contact info@ent-ex.eu for more information.

The programme is open to entrepreneurially-minded young people of all backgrounds.
